Waterland Chiropractie Tiel is a new practice, part of the Waterland Chiropractie network and run the same way as at our other locations.
You will find us at Dodewaardlaan 6, in Tiel-West. Zandwijk and Drumpt are closest, Passewaaij is on the other side of town, and Buren, Wadenoijen, Kapel-Avezaath and Zennewijnen lie just outside it.
Your chiropractor is Benjamin Arctander D.C. Most of what he sees is everyday stuff. A lower back that locks up before you have got your socks on. Ben looks at how your back and neck move, and at where they do not, and he starts from what you tell him rather than from a fixed routine.

What your first visit in Tiel looks like

Seeing a chiropractor for the first time can feel a bit daunting, so Ben Arctander works through it step by step, working from what you tell him rather than from a fixed routine.

Listening first
Ben starts with your story. When your symptoms began, what makes them worse, how you work and sleep, and what you have already tried.
A thorough examination
Then he examines you. He looks at how your spine moves, how your joints respond under pressure, and what orthopaedic and neurological tests tell him about your nerves and reflexes.
What Ben found
Ben talks you through what he found, without jargon, and points out what is most likely behind your symptoms. Then he explains what he suggests: how often you would come back, what you can do at home, and what to watch for.
Your first treatment
From 1 September, if chiropractic care is right for your symptoms, Ben can start treatment in the same appointment. A free scan booked before then stays a scan, so you decide for yourself whether to go on.

There is one chiropractor at Waterland Chiropractie Tiel: Ben Arctander. He carries out the free scans himself, and he is the one you see at your follow-up appointments.
He trained at AECC University College in Bournemouth, England, the oldest chiropractic college in Europe. Waterland Chiropractie Tiel is registered with the DCF, the CCA and the SNRC.

Coming in from Buren, Wadenoijen or Kapel-Avezaath you can get to us without going through the centre, and from Drumpt, Zandwijk or Passewaaij it is a few minutes’ drive across town.

Who will I be seeing, and what happens at a first appointment?
You will see Ben Arctander. He is the only chiropractor at Dodewaardlaan 6.
Book before 1 September and your first appointment is the free scan. From September, a treatment appointment starts with your story and an examination, and ends with his advice on what to do next.

How many appointments will I need?
Nobody can honestly give you a number before they have examined you.
It depends on the complaint, how long it has been going on and how your body responds.
After the examination Ben gives you a realistic estimate, and he updates it as you go along.
Appointments run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so any plan is built around those days.
Do you treat children?
Yes, children are welcome and there is a separate rate for them. The approach is gentler and suited to their age.
The same rule applies: we examine first and treat afterwards. If chiropractic is not right for your child’s complaint, Ben will say so.
